Hospital Arsonist Bending Over Fires Identified By Police In Central PA

An alleged teenage arsonist spotted on surveillance camera footage at the former UPMC York Memorial Hospital has been identified, according to police.

The girl pictured was seen bent over "one of several small fires that had been set" at the defunct hospital located at 325 South Belmont Street, Spring Garden Township at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023. 

The hospital relocated to 1701 Innovation Dr, York, PA 17408 in 2019 and the property was auctioned off to a private developer in 2021, according to public records. 

She was last seen riding a bicycle north on South Belmont Street. 

Spring Garden Township police thanked the community for its help in identifying the girl and said charges are pending, according to an updated release on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
